Lugh

Lugh (sometimes referred to as Llew) or Lugus as he was called by the Celts, is traditionally known not just as the god of the Harvest, but also as the god of light, skill and ability. He was a sun god of all crafts and arts, healing, journeys and prophecy. He was very skilled in many areas, thus his being associated with so many different areas of life. Lugh was traditionally associated with ravens and according to legend had a magic spear and otherworldly hounds under his command. His festival is held on August 1. Artwork by Joanna Powell Colbert.
